Myra, a Christmas-loathing student, flees Germany's festive traditions after a frustrating incident, retreating to a secluded mountain cabin to "cancel" the holiday for herself. Her Grinch-like solitude is shattered by mysterious visitors and stolen supplies, leading her to a shocking discovery: the village celebrates Krampusnacht, not Christmas. Dark folklore figures like Krampus, Zwarte Piet, and Frau Perchta punish the "naughty," and Myra finds an unexpected kinship—and even a sexual interest—in Krampus. Recognizing them as her earlier tormentors, she envisions a darker, more punitive holiday future as she plans to unleash them upon America.
