Jeffrey Post, a former Storm Lake, Iowa resident, is on a crusade of a lifetime. Diagnosed with a debilitating medical condition at 45, he's determined to make every day count. His journey is one of faith, resilience, and a profound understanding of what it means to truly live.
Growing up in Storm Lake, Jeffrey was a loner, often battling sickness. When he was 7, his family decided to move back to Storm Lake from Hillsboro, Oregon. He spent much of his growing up navigating health challenges and academic problems.
When he was 16, life fell apart after his best friend of 5 1/2 years was sent away. With no hope and no future, he consider suicide twice, he was flunking out of 11th grade and had no direction in life. But God had other plans. During this depressing time, God put another best friend in his life, a Christian, who invited him to attend a youth concert featuring evangelists David Wilkerson (Started Teen Challenge) and musician Dallas Holm in Spencer, Iowa.
It had a profound impact on him and the future. "God found me, I gave my life over to Jesus Christ, completely," he recalls. "It was such an overwhelming moment," he recalls. "God immediately began to guide me and use me in ways I never or anybody who knew me, could have imagined."
