Thrilled by the potential of the innovative Spoken platform for authors! A retired VO artist, I'm now writing my debut trilogy – a bucket list project that's a rich mix of fiction, historical mystery, and roman à clef. Currently in the works. I also have a couple of sci-fi comedies in the pipeline. Hears a snippet audiobook version of the first chapter of "Deep Thoughts 42 Whoopsie ~ The Universe's Customer Service Deoartment" A sci-fi comedy homage/tribute to Douglas Adams. My background in voice-over makes me especially interested in Spoken's possibilities for bringing detailed narratives like these into audio. (Fun fact: I even created a professional voice, of myself - "Nigel J," from my pre-CV19 audio!). But honestly? After decades as a VO, the last person I want to hear narrate my entire trilogy is myself! My poor ears! I'll definitely be using another custom voice actor. I fancy a voice akin to John Hurt. My trilogy delves into themes my family found "woo woo," deep-rooted connections, and the merging of disparate ideas. I'm genuinely excited to see what Spoken offers writers like me looking to connect with performance talent. Here's hoping!
