At age 79, Helen Edwards is a writer and researcher. She has presented papers at many conferences. Helen is a prolific writer; her articles have appeared in numerous magazines. Since 2020, she has been a full-time author and has published six books and contributed articles to three more. A history of the last 50 years of her alma mater, Victoria High School is underway as is a memoir on how she overcame obstacles. A passionate sports fan, she once owned shares of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team in the National Hockey League. She is currently a co-owner of The Victoria HarbourCats summer baseball club and a co-owner of the Paris Musketeers football team in Europe. She is on the cusp of a speaking career which will spread her life lessons to a wider community. Her goal is to help young entrepreneurs, particularly women, to navigate obstacles they will face in their lives. By listening to her story, they will learn how to not accept “no” for an answer and to find success in their chosen field.
