I write speculative fiction for readers who suspect reality is overrated. Influenced by the raw, tangled wildlands of Oregon and the native Chippewa region of Wisconsin, where I was born, I blend myth, post-apocalyptic grit and the kind of speculative science that might actually be true in a parallel universe, or our own if you squint hard enough. A certified Oregon Master Hunter, martial artist, and unapologetic book (and wild idea) hoarder, I also spend time catching halibut in the Pacific, studying the obscure and improbable, and muttering about entropy. When not dodging eldritch monstrosities of the imagination, I'm wondering how the hell we got here as a species. Awards include three finalist nods from the National Indie Excellence and Wishing Shelf Awards, which means at least a few people out there get the joke.
