About the Author Stephen Moody is a fine art painter and novelist based in Scottsdale, Arizona, where the desert landscape and its quiet, persistent energy inform everything he creates. Before Stephen writes a single word of a novel, he paints its world. The Enchanted Realm began as a canvas, a woman emerging from fire, her eyes meeting the viewer's directly, calm and certain of exactly where she stood. He finished the painting before he knew her name. The story came after, all at once, the way stories sometimes do. Stephen's debut novel, Hold On to the Love: Forbidden Love, reached number one on Amazon. Its sequel, Reunited, carries that love story a century forward, and a third installment, completing the trilogy, is currently in progress. Savannah, his gothic horror novel, and The Enchanted Realm, his romantasy, round out a catalog that moves between genres while returning again and again to the same question: what does it cost to disappear inside your own life, and what does it take to stop. He is a devoted father of three and grandfather of five, and shares his Scottsdale home with three cats, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and an Australian Cattle Dog mix.
