Marq and Lady met by chance through mutual friends back in early 2000. The two found themselves undeniably attracted to one another. And even though those who knew them both were of the opinion that Marq was not Lady's type the two decided to explore where this thing between them could go. Marq spent the night at Lady's place and the two have been inseparable since. Twenty - three years later, with God's help, and hard work they have stood the test of time and are still going stronger than ever. Over the years Marq and Lady would always spend time together watching TV shows and listening to audio books. They had many conversations about how they would've written certain parts differently if they were the writers. And this sparked the long journey of them making the attempt to write their own book. Lady, who has always had a darker, more devious take with her creative vision, rarely prefers the happy ending over the more realistic messy picture that life usually paints. So, these takes add an anti-hero, villainous element to the character traits she built in this book. Marq has always been a bit of a wordsmith. From his days in the streets hustling, to his moments as a well written creative writer in school, a rap artist and lyric writer in the nineties and two thousand; those experiences allowed him to tie things together with his own particular style and word flow. The two of them decided to dedicate their books to their families. A special dedication to the two matriarchs of both of their mother's lineages who have gone on to their heavenly home. Marq's grandmother/Gran - Beulah (maiden name Willis) and Lady's grandmother/Gaga - Janatha (maiden name Ingram). These two women were huge influences and essential parts of who this couple became in their adult lives. The readers of their books can expect some hot and steamy moments of sex, infidelity, inner turmoil, betrayal, moments of crisis, crime, murder, treachery, revenge, family drama, and spiritual introspection, amongst other things. STAY TUNED! A very special thanks for the love and support of both our mothers, Gloria Hamlett and Shirley Lampkin. Thanks for all that you do because you're a blessing. And a heavy hearted thanks to our fathers Harvey and Carl who have passed on. Lady would like to give a special acknowledgement to her father Carl for introducing her and sparking her interest in reading books by authors like Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Anne Rice. Those writers played a huge part in her love of books and the way she approached her newfound creative passion for being an author.
