Wanted - Part 4
Description
In Part 4 of Wanted, Marissa finds herself the target of local children's pranks and, after being rescued by Tony, is forced to visit Marcel's jazz club, a place she had been trying desperately to avoid. Despite her initial apprehension, Marissa finds the kindness of the club's patrons warming her heart and changing her perception of the locale. Meanwhile, Angus Moran, a powerful figure in the town, and Carson McReynolds, a shrewd politician, share a mutual concern about a new newspaper's exposé on the Rats, a criminal organization that exerts a significant influence in the town. This exposé could potentially disrupt their business dealings and political ambitions, leaving them both desperate to uncover the identity of the authors and silence their voices. As Marissa confronts her friends, Barbara and Mario - Tony's brother - about their role in the newspaper, Marissa's father, Jonathan Erinson, offers his wisdom, encouraging her to compromise with her friends and focus on the importance of their relationship. This phone call brings a new challenge to Marissa as a young woman, an acolyte of the McReynolds crew who overheard the conversation, now knows Marissa's involvement in the newspaper. She sets a scheme in motion to utilize the new information to her advantage, possibly by selling it to the Rats or using it to manipulate Sam Lincoln, McReynolds's right-hand man - who has paid far too much attention to Marissa Erinson. Meanwhile, Tony, who has shown a genuine concern for Marissa, is now tasked with uncovering the truth behind the newspaper, potentially uncovering the identity of those responsible for the exposé.
