Description

In part 12 of Wanted, Marissa wakes to find herself in a hospital ward, uncertain exactly how she arrived. The last thing she remembered, she had been marched away from the political rally of Jerome, a politician in the crosshairs of bootleggers, a gun to the back of her head. Tony Garner, finding her only moments before the gunshot, knocks her to the pavement, absorbing the impact of the bullet. Tony's act of bravery leaves him hospitalized, and when Marissa wakes, she believes that he has died and that she caused the tragedy. She decides to leave St. Louis, and her friends, including a mostly recovered Tony, pour intense effort into finding her. The story explores themes of guilt, responsibility, and the complex nature of relationships. DISCLAIMER: This work took place in the 1920s.
