Zena Marlowe’s transition to teaching at Kadena High School in Okinawa takes a gruesome turn when a classroom incident leaves students with bleeding eyes. What Zena initially hopes is a medical anomaly quickly reveals itself as something far more sinister: an ancient, suffocating supernatural entity rooted in local legend. As demonic rumors spread through the military base and the unseen presence grows more aggressive, Zena must navigate the psychological toll of the haunting while fighting to protect her students from a malevolent force that defies modern explanation. The story masterfully blends the isolation of military life abroad with bone-chilling paranormal dread. Comparable works include Ju-On: The Grudge
