Broken Mirror Chapter 1
Description
Victor, plagued by mirror resonance syndrome, faces a life-altering reclassification appointment in Semiautonomous California. He fears becoming a Class Two, confined to a remote facility, and dreads the potential for becoming a comatose Class One. His best hope is to remain a Class Three under government surveillance. Victor's anxieties are fueled by his conviction that his grandfather, Jefferson, was murdered, and his family's refusal to believe him. Seeking solace and guidance, Victor calls Elena, a friend who recently returned to SeCa. Elena encourages him to leave SeCa, claiming it's the source of his troubles. She suggests Texas as a potential refuge, despite its chaotic nature. As Victor prepares for his appointment, Elena's cryptic warnings raise suspicion about the fairness of the reclassification process.
