Description

In this reflective poem, a narrator stumbles upon a beached boat and contemplates its mysterious past. Was it a child's lost toy, a lovers' getaway gone wrong, or simply a misadventure? The narrator finds beauty in the boat's decay, connecting with the past and appreciating its quiet resignation, free from sorrow. Image/Artwork: Copyright with Nicky Spaulding Arts/Miami. This lovely gouache painting "Beached Boat" was presented to me after a visit to Nicky's Art Studio in Miami. Unforgettable the afternoon in this hot humid month of July, this is a splendid reminder! Nicky is charming, his smart advice helped me to free my mind of other's input, hence to kickstart my inner child running a little more loose. I am grateful he showed me his art that day, when the beauty of his soul certainly spoke to mine. Comparable works include Gate to Paradise
